Whats with the advice?

Someone giving advice?…

Well, as you scroll through any social media platform (Tiktok, facebook, instagram, etc) you would see that people have used these various platforms to provide a kind of service. A service that we most see is entertainment, funny cat videos to laugh our sorrows away, music to dance our pants off or just watching a 10 second ad that cannot be skipped telling you about an app you may or may not have already downloaded.

However the one advice I would like to pinpoint and speak about is the one where everyone of almost late-teen to the elderly are sharing is that on financial advice…

Picture from the balance

STOCKS, DIVIDENDS, INTEREST, BANKS, WEALTH. Get wealthy now, buy bitcoins, nft, anything that I say to get rich… is what some of those financial ‘experts’ would scream through the screen. I am no expert and I am not here to give any advice.

I do not discredit any if those people who took the time off their busy schedule to talk to us through a screen who materials that they prepared for some time, and I love those who give proper-sounding advice to us. Yet the advice they give, seeing how we must have passive income, retire by 70, a millionaire by 30s, or businessman by 20s is something I feel is a little too pushy for some.

Do not be pushy…

The idea of FOMO (fear of missing out) creeps in without hesitation, we have to jump onto the latest NFT, latest crypto, latest whatever gives finance, or something other than saving our cold hard-earned cash in the bank.

I highly recommend putting some cash into a safe trusted bank for rainy days, however, it is up to your discretion. Warning though I am no finance expert, it is just my thought.

I do from time to time click on such advice hoping to retire by 60s or earn a million dollars by the 30s which is what some say is possible but for me, I just feel it's not something that suits my taste or my own personal timeline.

Each of us has our own timeline, our own choices and yes we may feel pressured to buy items and get the latest gadgets, however, do not get pressured to that financial, do what is best for, do not jump onto something just because your friend or YouTuber says NFT or crypto is a must to have. Do what you know and read thoroughly. Do not be FOMO, and just take it easy, as life is a sailboat, and you are controlling it through the seas, do not let other cooler ships distract you from the purpose and goal you have set for yourself.
